Plain English. No fine-print games. If something here is unclear, that's a bug. Email hello@no-dash.xyzand we'll rewrite it.
What we collect when you join the waitlist
- Your name: to greet you in the welcome email.
- Your email: to email you once when the beta opens.
- Your IP address and browser user-agent: for spam protection (rate-limiting, abuse detection). We don't use them to track you.
- Your referral code (if any): to credit the friend who sent you.
What we never collect
- What you write in any other app. The Mac app (when it ships) sends only the text you actively select to a language-model provider, never anything you didn't intend.
- Your contacts, calendar, location, browsing history, or any other system data.
- Cookies for advertising. We use Google Analytics 4 with anonymized IPs; no ad-targeting cookies, no remarketing pixels.
Who we share with
- Resend: to send you email. They see your name and email so they can deliver it.
- Cloudflare: hosts the site and database. They see standard web server logs.
- Google Analytics 4: anonymous traffic stats. No personally identifiable information.
- Anthropic: when you use the future Mac app in cloud mode, the text you select is sent to Anthropic's Claude API for the rewrite. Local mode skips this entirely.
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with anyone else for any reason. Not for ads, not to data brokers, not to a partner. Not now, not later.
How long we keep things
- Waitlist entries: until you ask us to delete them, or 24 months after the public launch (whichever comes first).
- Rate-limit IPs: auto-purged after 1 hour.
- Mac app rewrite history (when shipped): stored locally on your Mac only, auto-purged after 24 hours unless you pin an entry. Never sent to our servers.
Your rights
You can ask us to (a) tell you what we have on you, (b) export it, or (c) delete it. Email hello@no-dash.xyz from the address you signed up with. We aim to respond within 7 days.
If you're in the EU/UK, GDPR applies. If you're in California, CCPA applies. The rights above cover both.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that materially affects you, we'll email you. Routine clarifications get a date bump and nothing else.
